Teaching Was Never Meant To Be a Solo Sport—
Welcome to the Future of Education.
I’m not here to give you the shiny, scripted version of teaching.
You love this work—but the system wasn’t built for modern teachers or modern learners. It demands resilience without teaching it, expects innovation without training, wants collaboration without time, and talks about advocacy without actually listening.
That’s where I come in.
I’ve lived the reality: the 1/2 chaos, the 5/6 magic, the sprint to the photocopier with cold coffee, the tears behind a locked classroom door. I’ve also lived the joy of real learning—students creating, questioning, building, and becoming.
Now, I help teachers rebuild their practice through the four pillars that actually sustain us:
✨ Resilience — not pushing harder, but healing smarter.
✨ Collaboration — with students, teachers, families, and community.
✨ Innovation — tech, design, creativity… but without overwhelm.
✨ Advocacy — for students, for yourself, and for a better system.
This space is built for teachers who know something needs to change—and want support doing it.
Hey, I’m Amy!
I didn’t grow up wanting to be a teacher. I struggled through school, but a friend said, “You’d be good at this.” And they were right—but not because I was perfect.
I understood the kids who didn’t fit the mold. I saw the ones who were anxious, misunderstood, neurodivergent, creative, brilliant, or simply overwhelmed. I found my purpose in making learning feel human.
Along the way, I:
co-created EdCamp Ottawa, promoting teacher collaboration,
led PD communities focused on tech and inclusive learning,
supported teachers in building real-world, innovative classroom experiences,
taught everything from grade 1/2 chaos to 7/8 brilliance.
Then my life changed. A baby, burnout, a system moving too slowly… and a realization:
Teachers deserve support that is real, personal, and actually usable.
So I stepped into teacher education—and started building the Resilient Rebels community.
Why This Space Exists:
Because teachers are overwhelmed—and it’s not their fault.
We are still pretending that teaching today is the same job it was 15 years ago. It’s not.
Teachers need:
support that builds resilience, not guilt,
spaces for collaboration, not competition,
tools for innovation, not perfection,
guidance for advocacy, not silence.
I built this for:
the seasoned teacher who feels left behind by new expectations,
the new teacher drowning in decision fatigue,
the burned-out teacher who knows they can’t keep going like this,
the passionate teacher who wants to reimagine learning, but not alone.
Here’s what I believe:
You are not behind—the world changed.
You’re not bad at tech—you just need a safe place to learn.
You are not meant to do this alone—teaching is collaborative by design.
You deserve a classroom (and a career) that supports you too.
