👋 I’m Amy.

This Isn’t a Highlight Reel—It’s Real Talk for Real Teachers

I’m not here to sugarcoat things.

You love teaching—but the way the system is set up right now? It’s eating people alive.

I know what it’s like to care deeply, to give more than you have, to be the one holding everything together for your students while falling apart quietly behind the scenes.

I’ve lived the Grade 1/2 chaos. I’ve thrived (and struggled) in the 5/6 magic. I’ve sprinted to the photocopier with cold coffee and a full bladder more times than I can count.

And now? I’m channeling all of that experience into supporting other teachers—through resources, workshops, mentorship, and community. Because teaching doesn’t have to feel this lonely. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Whether you’re surviving or searching for a better way—I’ve built this space for you.

My Story, Minus the Buzzwords

I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a teacher. In fact, I struggled in school—hard. But when a friend suggested I’d be good at it, I gave it a shot.

And what I found was a calling: supporting kids who were overlooked, labeled, underestimated. I saw them because I was them. And I taught like it.

From messy, beautiful grade 1/2s to my sweet spot in grade 5/6, I poured myself into teaching. I co-created EdCamp Ottawa, led professional learning communities, spoke about tech at PlayDate and online, and got deeply invested in supporting neurodivergent students and real, relevant learning.

But like many of us, I hit a wall. The system didn’t evolve fast enough, and I had a baby, and life shifted. I wanted to keep helping teachers—but in a way that didn’t burn me out.

So I stepped into teacher education—and into building this space.

Why I Built This Space

Because the truth is, we’re still not talking honestly about how hard this job is—and how brilliant teachers are.

I built this for the seasoned educator who’s quietly drowning.
For the teacher who cares deeply but feels out of date.
For the ones who don’t want to leave—but can’t keep going like this.

And for the ones who are ready to teach in ways that actually reflect the world our students live in.

Here’s what I know:

  • You are not behind. The world just changed without training you for it.

  • You’re not “bad at tech.” You just haven’t had a shame-free space to learn.

  • You don’t need more PD. You need a person.

  • You are more capable—and more valuable—than this system gives you credit for.
